Bangladesh?
Yes, you’re right. Bangladesh is not in Europe. It is a smallish country just east of the Indian Subcontinent. It is a developing country and has been one of the poorest countries in the world, but it’s poverty rate has been going down rather steadily in the last 25 years, and it is full of beautiful, interesting people. I am so looking forward to learning all about it with you!
Bangladesh has been in the news this year because of a factory that collapsed and killed over 1,100 people and injured 2,500.
We will learn all about Bangladesh’s history, geography, culture and current struggles.
